PSIPW participated in the the Scientific and Technical Subcommittee of the Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (COPUOS) at its fiftieth session, which took place from 11 -22 February 2013 at the United Nation Office at the Vienna International Center in the Austrian capital.
The Arab Water Week for 2013 was held in Amman, Jordan from 27-31 January 2013. Conducted annually by the Arab Countries Water Utilities Association (ACWUA) in various Arab states, this year's theme was "New Prospects and Challenges for the Water Secror in the Arab Region".
HRH Prince Khaled Bin Sultan Bin Abdulaziz announced the winners of PSIPW's 5th Award (2012) during the Prize Council meeting convened in Riyadh on 27 September 2012.
A new international web portal for water professionals is now available to the public. A joint effort of the United Nations and PSIPW, the International Water Portal is a comprehensive online forum for all parties professionally involved with water. It combines the functionality of a professional database, an online digital library, and a professional networking site.
The Prince Sultan Bin Abdulaziz International Prize for Water was the lead sponsor of the 16th International Water Technolgy Conference which was held in Istanbul Turkey this year from 7-10 May. The conference is organized annually by the International Water Technology Association.
