The Awards ceremony for the 7th Award will be held at the United Nations headquarters in New York, NY on 2 November 2016. It is being hosted by the U.N. Friends of Water and presided over by the U.N. General Secretary H.E. Mr. Ban Ki-moon, and by PSIPW Chairman H.R.H. Prince Khaled Bin Sultan Bin Abdulaziz.
The Prince Sultan Bin Abdualziz International Prize for Water was elected to the Arab Water Council's Board of Trustees for the 2016-2018 term, at the AWC’s 4th General Assembly meeting which was held in Cairo, Egypt from 29-30 February 2016
The Prince Sultan Bin Abdulaziz International Prize for Water (PSIPW) is an observing member of the United Nations Committee for the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (COPUOS), where it consults on matters relating to the use of space technology in water resources management.
The Prince Sultan Bin Abdulaziz International Prize for Water is participating in the 48th Fall Meeting of the American Geophysical Union, which is being held in San Francisco California from 14 to 18 December 2015.
His Royal Highness Prince Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Chairman of the Prince Sultan Bin Abdulaziz International Prize for Water officiated the Prize Council’s first meeting to discuss the seventh award, which is currently receiving nominations. The meeting was held on 27 October 2015 at the Azizia Palace in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
