Hisham El-Dessouky is Professor of Chemical Engineering since September, 2004 at the NWFP-EUT, Peshawar. He received his doctorate from Hanover University, West Germany, in 1981. and B.Sc. and M.Sc. from Cairo university, Egypt. His research interests are in desalination, energy storage, evaporative cooling, heat transfer, and heat exchanger design and membrane separation. Prof. El-Dessouky is world known in water desalination field. He published and presented more than 150 papers in international refereed journals and conferences. He is the main author of the first textbook on desalination fundamentals published by Elsvier,2002. He has received many international and national awards including Prince Sultan Bin Abdulaziz International Prize for Water, it is the largest award for outstanding research and innovation in water fields.
